Environmental Impact Assessment study of collection drainage water of the west Karun river and southern Karkheh

 Project's Geographical location : Khuzestan Province, the areas of the east and west Karun and southern Karkheh river

Project Description:

The purpose of conducting project is the southern Karkheh and west Karun drain water management which is consist of 14 units irrigation and drainage network.
Reviewing possibility of decreasing drain production and increasing its quality and predicting its quantity and quality in various periods and reusing of obtained drainage by creating Agriculture, arboriculture and fishing networks eventually constructing conducting remained drainage through sewer and main drainage to the whole cultivations of the southern Karkheh and west of Karun, between Dehkhoda sugarcane developing area to eucalyptus industry and agriculture projects that finally lead to improvement environment conditions of the Karun, Karkheh, Hawr –Al-Azim wetland and  reusing drain water in order to saving  fresh water
Boosting existing developing plans in the region such as Karkheh river or Hawr Al Azim wetland restoration by preventing of drain water entrance to this water resources and conservation its environmental privacy
Preventing of lands salinity and changing some screw land, into Agriculture and Fisheries lands
Decreasing the trend of reveal some diseases such as cancers or liver diseases due to poisons and pesticides consumption and their entrance to food chain
Creating and raising Agriculture index in the region
Including of negative impacts can suggest to disarrange ecologic balance, increasing pollutants and dissolved matters and changing the Arvand river's water and soil quality
The best choice which has the least problem, is combination of drain water quantity and quality management, reusing to agriculture and  fisheries and eventually disposal drain water in main channel in parallel boarder line and conducting them to the Arvand river and eventually drain to Persian Gulf.
