Evaluation and risk analysis of flood in Yadavaran oil field

Client: Ministry of Oil, the SYNOPEC oil international company of china
Project's geographical location: the east of Karun river / Khuzestan province
Project description:
Yadavaran Oilfield is one of the major oilfield fields in the south west of the country and in the eastKarun River.
Due to the strategic and economic importance of this field in the extraction and production of oil, the protection of oil installations against flood risk caused by the outbreak of Karkheh and Karun Rivers is also of great importance.
In the studies of assessment and risk analysis of the flood-Yadavaran oil field, which is done by this consultant, is considered as the center for oil extraction in the face of flood hazard and water CTEP protecting the oil site.
In these studies, the MIKE 11 model was used for simulating flood in Karkheh and Karun rivers and from Mike Flood; Mike21 for simulation of flood playback in the land around the CTEP site

These simulations were carried out for floods with return period of 50 and 100 years.
The results of the studies show that in order to prevent the risk of clogging of the CTEP oil site, it is necessary to construct a protective dike up to the level of 40/5 than the sea level. Below is an example of the output results with the plan position.
