Project Description:
One of the most important parts of Masjed Soleyman's petrochemical project is supplying and transmission water demand of industry, green space and drinking purposes which has been estimated 250 liter per day. The only proper resource to  supply  plan's water is the Karun River. The distance of river to project location is variable and the river pass among mountain and impassable areas completely in this area.
The most significant plan in the region is Gotvand reservoir dam. By  considering to dam impoundment and its operating, the level of reservoir has retreated to upstream  about several kilometers and has been influenced the location of pumping station construction, by attention to  water level digits, determining pumping station and pumps designing and then selecting the shortest possible path has been implementing  in order to water transmission. After various studies and frequent visits, the horizontal tunnel construction choice and utilization of deep well pumps has been selected as the most suitable choice. Total length of water transmission path to the areas is 14881 meter, which will be constructed in the end and in the industrial site, the 10000 cubic meter water reservoir . The thing which is important in this case study, is designing of pumping station as in two Conditions before and after Gotvand dam impounding ,will provided the possibility of water pumping and impounding
