The Dez two arcs concrete dam is located to the north of Khouzestan a height of 203 meter, in the (second power plant ) Dez dam power plant developing plan, is a new power plant with 720 M.W. capacity which has been constructed next to current power plant as sub surface in the right of dam.
This power plant has four 180 MW units which its duty is generating electricity at the peak time. One of the studied sections of this project, is detailed environmental studies and preparing thermal layering predicting pattern and reservoir quality and the impacts of this power plan construction. In order to investigating the quality of Dez dam's reservoir and applying qualified results of experiences in the environmental assessment studies of second power plant of Dez dam, by Mared consular, the sampling of three cross and 6 various depth of Dez dam reservoir, and environmental tests ,has been conducted
